FAQ - International Wedding Photographer

Every detail matters for your wedding. Find all the answers to your questions for a smooth and unforgettable experience.

There are no strict rules regarding how much time is needed to photograph a wedding or how long a reportage should last. It all depends on your wishes, expectations, and the flow of your day. In general, I cover weddings for at least 9 to 12 hours. I usually start when the hairdresser or makeup artist begins with the bride, and I finish after dessert, in the middle of the party.

Your wedding day is so much more than just an exchange of rings.

Many wedding photographers offer a pre-wedding venue visit, often as an additional service. They claim it’s a highly recommended, even essential, step to ensure smooth and flawless shooting. But is it really necessary?

Personally, I never scout venues in advance unless it’s a specific request from a couple. And for a simple reason: it’s not the venue that guides my photographic choices — it’s the light.

What makes a photo interesting, unique, and vibrant is first and foremost the quality of the light. And light constantly changes — depending on the time of day, the weather, the season… The same spot can be in full sunlight, bathed in soft light filtered through the trees, cast in shadow, or under a cloudy sky. It’s the interaction between the place, the light, and the moment that creates the magic of an image.

Of course, visiting a venue ahead of time can help imagine framings and spot a few photogenic corners. But this only has real value if the conditions are identical to those on the wedding day, at the same time, with the same light — which rarely happens.

An experienced wedding photographer knows how to adapt quickly, sense the atmosphere, spot interesting areas, and, above all, follow the light of the moment. It’s this mastered spontaneity that ensures natural, lively, and emotion-filled photographs.

This is a question I can’t answer with an exact number. The final number of photos depends on the number of hours of coverage, the energy and diversity of the day’s moments, and whether you would like to include wedding portraits. Will you receive 1000 or 1200 photos? I can’t say precisely, because that number doesn’t depend solely on me.

If you would like an estimate, an average is indicated on my quote.

I don’t provide DVDs or USB drives. To ensure fast and convenient access, your photos will be available for download through a private gallery on my website. You will receive a personal password to securely access and download your images from anywhere.

Of course! All the wedding photos you receive will be carefully retouched. Digital retouching requires time and precision, but every hour spent enhancing your images is well worth it.

During this process, I make sure the edits remain invisible, ensuring a natural and authentic result. It’s not about altering appearances, but about adjusting the light, correcting small imperfections, and, when possible, removing distracting elements in the background.

Yes, I offer several pre-designed wedding photography packages. However, every wedding is unique, with specific wishes and needs that don’t always fit into standard packages. That’s why I’ll be happy to send you a personalized quote.

Feel free to share your wishes and your budget with me if my packages don’t perfectly match what you’re looking for.

You should book your wedding photographer as early as possible. Most are booked one to two years in advance. The most honest answer is: book as soon as your date is set, before another couple reserves it.

As an international wedding photographer, I capture wedding stories both in France and abroad. And if you book early enough, I’ll be more than happy to follow you to the ends of the earth.
